After much discussion during the week about the quest to open the season at 2-0, the Virginia football team accomplished that feat with a 31-30 win at Wake Forest. The Hoos rallied in the fourth quarter to make that happen.
Some familiar names landed among the statistical standouts. Anthony Colandrea passed for 357 yards and 3 touchdowns, Malachi Fields made 11 catches for 148 yards, Daniel Sparks averaged 46.8 yards per punt (block counts toward the team not the individual), and Antonio Clary logged 11 tackles with a fumble recovery.
