Virginia Led By Usual Suspects In PFF Grades After Coastal Carolina Win

The Virginia football team responded to its first loss of the season with a strong showing on the road at Coastal Carolina. The Hoos took the lead less than two minutes in and never trailed in a 43-24 victory. That pushed UVA to 3-1 on the season, the program’s best start since 2019.

In terms of the counting stats, running back Xavier Brown rolled up 171 rushing yards and one reception for four yards. Receiver Malachi Fields posted four catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Safety Antonio Clary led the defense wit eight tackles, while linebackers Kam Robinson and James Jackson contributed seven each. Daniel Sparks averaged 46.7 yards per punt with a 60-yarder in the mix.
