The Virginia football program, still looking to close out strong in the class of 2014, has scored its first commitment in the class of 2015.
Juan Thornhill, a 6’1″, 170-pound quarterback/free safety back out of Altavista Combined School (Altavista, VA), has given a pledge to head coach Mike London, Altavista head coach Mike Scharnus confirmed to TheSabre.com. Virginia offered Thornhill as an athlete.
As a sophomore point guard, Thornhill helped AltaVista’s varsity basketball squad to a state championship title. As a junior he has helped the varsity football team to an 8-1 record so far this year. Check out his 2013 season football highlights and more by clicking here.
