DT James Trucilla Commits To UVa

Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA) defensive tackle James Trucilla is the newest member of UVa’s class of 2015. Trucilla’s coach, Mike Mischler, tweeted the news earlier today before the all-state standout followed up with a tweet of his own.

A 6’1”, 270-pound prospect, Trucilla played offensive guard and defensive tackle as a junior in the 2013 season. On defense he was credited with 52 tackles including 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks, earning Class AAA first-team all-state honors by the Pennsylvania Writers.

UVa now boasts eight commitments in the class of 2015, including one quarterback, one wide receiver, one tight end, three offensive linemen, one defensive tackle and one free safety. Trucilla, who also considered scholarship offers from Akron and Ball State, among others, is the second Pennsylvania native to commit to the Hoos in this class.
