Gladimir Paul visited the University of Virginia on August 3. That day was a successful one for the Northeast High School (Philadelphia, PA) rising senior, who returned home with a scholarship offer from the Cavaliers.

Just over two weeks later, Paul, a 6’3″, 215-pound prospect, has decided to accept Virginia’s offer. He chose the Hoos over offers from Connecticut and Temple, among others.
I just want to announce that I'll be taking my talents to the university of Virginia #gohoos #cavfootball

A first-team all-Public League Class AAAA selection and Daily News second-team all-city selection at defensive end, Paul racked up 68 tackles including 21 sacks last season as a junior. He also plays tight end at Northeast, but with his size he likely will play defense — either outside linebacker or defensive end or a hybrid of both — at UVa.
Virginia now has 20 verbal commitments in the class of 2015. He is the fifth Pennsylvania native to commit to the Hoos in this class, joining offensive lineman Ryan Bischoff, cornerback Kareem Gibson, defensive tackle James Trucilla and all-purpose tailback Olamide Zaccheaus.
