Gateway (Monroeville, PA) rising senior wide receiver/safety Aidan Howard has verbally committed to the University of Virginia. Howard has confirmed the commitment through his Twitter account.
The 6’4″, 185-pound prospect made his decision just one day after receiving a scholarship offer from head coach Mike London. Howard also considered offers from Massachusetts and Robert Morris.

Howard’s pledge gives the Hoos 10 verbal commitments in the class of 2016. He is the first to commit from Pennsylvania, a state UVa secured five recruits from in the class of 2015.
Howard, who is rated a 3-star recruit Rivals and a 2-star prospect by 247Sports, is the 20th best class of 2016 prospect in Pennsylvania according to PennLive.
