Multiple outlets are reporting that UVa has extended a scholarship offer to DeAndre Hunter, a class of 2016 small forward prospect out of Friends’ Central in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. Cavalier head coach Tony Bennett extended the offer yesterday, which was day three of the third Evaluation Period in July.
Bennett was spotted watching the 6’7″, 185-pound Hunter in action Thursday night, when the Philly Pride took on 1 Nation at the Fab 48 in Las Vegas. He watched Hunter in action again Friday morning.
Hunter has caught the attention of numerous scouts and analysts with his play this month.
