TheSabre.com Poll: How Many Wins Will The Virginia Football Team Achieve This Season?

July has nearly passed and the ACC Football Kickoff has come and gone. The media pegged Virginia as the last-place finisher in its predictions.

Mike London’s team hopes to foil that prognostication and end a three-year string of losing seasons in the process. The work toward that goal restarts with preseason practices in August. That makes this week’s poll question a perfect one to wrap up the month and get everyone geared up for the preseason. It’s simple too so make sure you cast your vote. How many wins do you see for London’s Hoos this year?

As always, the poll remains open until next Wednesday at midnight and the results will be recapped the following Thursday (see last week’s results below).

After the Virginia baseball team captured its first National Championship in June, last week’s poll question was simple in essence: Who’s Got Next?

The poll drew 794 responses and it shows just how far the men’s basketball program has come in recent years. Tony Bennett has turned the program around to such an extent, including back-to-back ACC Regular Season Championships, that Virginia fans not only dream of a National Championship, they now know it’s a possibility in reality not just fantasy. Bennett’s program drew 51% of the vote.

The women’s soccer and women’s tennis teams rounded out the top three. Steve Swanson’s program, which participated in the College Cup (Final Four) each of the last two seasons, picked up 27% of the vote. Mark Guilbeau’s women’s tennis team grabbed 10% of the vote.

The full results follow.

  1. Darn for some reason the vote column for football showed up late. I have seen a bullet column to vote for next natty

  2. I find it interesting that 17 people actually think that they will win a national championship in football, might want to make a bowl first.
