For the second time in three weeks, the Virginia football team faces an opponent fighting through a difficult stretch of the season.

Georgia Tech came to Charlottesville two weeks ago after it stopped a three-game losing streak in its previous outing against Syracuse. The Yellow Jackets defeated UVa and are on a three-game winning streak.

North Carolina is this week’s opponent and it too has battled out of a slump. The Tar Heels had lost four straight games before posting back-to-back wins against Boston College and NC State. They’ll try to make it three in a row when the Cavaliers visit this weekend. The Wednesday Watch List looks at some details of the match-up.

Ebron Between The Seams

It’s not secret that North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron is a major threat in the offense. After all, he is the team’s leading receiver with 44 catches for 669 yards. He has pulled in 3 touchdowns this season too. There have been some monster outings in there this season with an 8-catch, 199-yard performance against Miami and a 9-catch, 70-yard day in last week’s win against NC State.
