Jeffery Farrar ‘s football career at Upland High School (CA) came to an end last Friday night. On Saturday, the 6’1″, 195-pound senior was at his future school, the University of Virginia, on an official visit.
“[The official visit experience] proves why I committed,” said Farrar, who has potential as a defensive back or receiver on the major college level. “I had a great time. My host was (freshman receiver) Andre Levrone. I saw some upperclassmen. The players took me under their wing. They are good character dudes. The city is great. It just proves why I committed.”
What makes the University of Virginia the right school for Farrar?
“Family,” he answered. “Family and commitment from the coaching staff. They want to get better. I saw how mad they were about the loss. It was a game they could’ve won. The fact that they’ve already had a meeting about next year shows how serious they are about turning this around. That was big for me to see.”
