Quick Take With Darrious Carter

This past Sunday, Virginia landed a commitment from 6’5”, 210-pound defensive end Darrious Carter, who previously had committed to Temple. The Indiana (PA) senior is coming off a season in which he racked up 65 tackles including 10 sacks with 14 pass breakups and one interception, good enough to get him voted to the PA Sports Writers Class AAA first-team all-state squad.

Carter took an official visit to UVa the weekend of December 15-17 and gave strong indications following the trip that a commitment change could be in the works. He followed through on Sunday and is excited about Charlottesville being the place he will spend the next four or five years of his life. As mentioned, Carter will play defensive end for the Cavaliers. Off the field, he plans to major in Accounting.

Carter took some time to discuss his commitment and his abilities on the gridiron.
