Junior Day The Latest UVa Experience For Hardin

Marist (Atlanta, GA) class of 2015 offensive lineman Sage Hardin estimates he has visited the University of Virginia 10 times. The most recent trip took place last Saturday for Virginia’s Junior Day.

“I came up Saturday morning and came back Saturday night. I had a great time,” said Hardin, a 6’6”, 260-pound prospect who boasts scholarship offers from Boston College, California, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Virginia and Yale (granted admission).

In terms of football-related visits, this latest experience was Hardin’s fourth on Grounds. The Junior Day, which coincided with UVa’s first spring practice of 2014, provided the Peach State standout an opportunity to pay close attention to offensive line coach Scott Wachenheim and learn more about the Virginia offense.

“I have seen the university up and down several times, but getting to sit with Coach Wachenheim in an offensive line meeting was what was different about this trip,” said Hardin, who attended the Oregon/UVa game last fall and a Virginia football camp last summer. “We watched film. It was interesting to see the schemes they play and run. We run the triple option at my school, so I wanted to see what Virginia does.”
