RALEIGH, N.C. – If the postseason is the swan song for a senior, Joe Harris is making the most of it.

The Hoos advanced in the NCAA Tournament with a 78-60 win as Harris scorched Memphis on Sunday. He poured in a game-high 16 points, which continued a strong surge for the Cavalier senior. Harris said UVa executed well on offense for most of the game.

“At first, we were a little sped up and playing the style of play they wanted to play. But we slowed things down and really made them work defensively,” Harris said. “We ran our offense very well tonight. Pretty much 35 minutes out of the game I thought we did a good job of really making them have to guard. Nothing was easy for them. It wore on them.”

Dealing with Harris probably wore on the Tigers too. As UNC’s Brice Johnson learned back in January, keeping up with Harris isn’t an easy task for a defense. Johnson said that Harris runs around and runs around without stopping, which usually gets him open or teammates open.
