With football season fast approaching, the Hoo Preview will provide some opponent snapshots in the coming days.

The Cavaliers make their first road trip of the season on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to LaVell Edwards Stadium in Utah. That’s where the Hoos will try to make it two in a row against BYU, who fell to UVa 19-16 last season in Charlottesville.

The Cougars rebounded from their loss in the opener to go 8-5 in 2013. Quarterback Taysom Hill returns after struggling a bit against UVa last season. Hill completed 13 of 40 passes for 175 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He added 42 rushing yards and one touchdown. BYU also brings back running back Jamaal Williams, who gained 144 yards on 33 carries in the game last year.
