Catching Up With UVa Football Recruit Jordan Mack

Wesleyan (Norcross, GA) rising senior safety prospect Jordan Mack received scholarship offers from schools in three major conferences, including the ACC (Boston College, Georgia Tech, UVa), Big 10 (Northwestern, Wisconsin) and SEC (Vanderbilt). In the end the choice was Virginia, which edged out Orange Bowl champion Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt for the 6’3”, 200-pound prospect.

“It was a close decision, but after visits and research UVa was the one that stood out,” Mack said.

“I had a feeling of comfort with the coaching staff, the academics. I saw myself walking around campus.”

It was either late April or early May this year, Mack estimates, that Virginia, led by primary recruiter Jappy Oliver, extended a scholarship offer.
