During a slow start to the season for Ethan Anderson, the message from Virginia coach Brian O’Connor remained consistent: the hits will come.
“And when [Ethan] really gets going like he did tonight then it makes it a pretty dangerous offense,” O’Connor said.
The hits came in bunches for Anderson on Tuesday night against Richmond. He went 3-4 at the plate with a season-high 4 RBI, including just his second home run of the season. Nearly every starter for UVA racked up a hit in the 15-5 win against the Spiders, but none maybe as important as Anderson’s 3 as the preseason All-American emerges from an early season slump.
“Kind of a chip on my shoulder trying to work towards that every day,” Anderson said about rediscovering his approach at the plate.
