The Virginia basketball team remained undefeated on the season with a 63-61 win against Ohio State on Wednesday night. Unlike the six previous victories, the Cavaliers passed a serious test from the Buckeyes. The Hoos led by double digits for all but 18:26 of the 120 second half minutes in those first six games, but found themselves in different territory this time around. They trailed for nearly that much time against OSU, sitting behind or tied on the scored board for all but 2:34.

Against the Buckeyes, the Cavaliers erased a 12-point halftime deficit with a run started by consecutive layups from London Perrantes, Darius Thompson, and Devon Hall. Moments after those 8 points, Hall added a 3-pointer and UVA took the lead on a Perrantes jumper.
Later in the half, Perrantes canned a triple to tie the game at 55-55 and Marial Shayok gave the Hoos the lead for good with a strong drive. Perrantes, Hall, and Shayok scored 6 of the final 8 points.
