Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) rising senior offensive tackle Steven Moss has visited the University of Virginia a handful of times over the course of the past year. None of those trips were as significant as the one he made last Friday and Saturday, when the 6’5″, 290-pound prospect verbally committed to head coach Mike London.
“I had been thinking about [committing] for a while,” said Moss. “I just didn’t know when I would do it. I finally just thought to myself, ‘Why am I making my parents take me all these places when I know ultimately what I want to do?’
“Saturday morning, I was in Coach London’s office. I had on a UVa shirt under my jacket. I unzipped my jacket and told coach I had decided to become a Cavalier. Coach London and Coach Wachenheim were there. They were definitely surprised.”
As you might expect, London’s reaction was one of excitement.
