What a night, indeed.
Former Virginia Cavalier baseball stars Chris Taylor and Derek Fisher are on opposite sides of an absolutely thrilling, likely historical 2017 Major League Baseball World Series, with Taylor the starting center fielder and leadoff hitter for the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers and Fisher a reserve outfielder for the American League champion Houston Astros.
Both players made the spotlight in last night’s wild, back-and-forth Game 5, which the Astros won, 13-12, in 10 innings. Taylor’s two-out single in the top of the 9th tied the game at 12.
In the bottom of the 10th, Fisher, who was pinch-running for catcher Brian McCann, scored the game-winning run for the Astros.
