Flint Hill (Oakton, VA) rising senior Trey Rucker traveled to Charlottesville on Monday (May 21) for an extensive look at the University of Virginia, one of currently three Power 5 conference schools to offer the talented defensive back.
Rucker has been to UVA just once before, for a camp last year. Before Monday, however, all the 6’0”, 190-pound prospect had seen up close was the football program’s indoor practice facility.
Monday’s unofficial visit began with Rucker meeting the entire coaching staff. Guided by primary recruiter and Cavalier co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Nick Howell, he then toured the Grounds and explored the athletic facilities including Scott Stadium. The day concluded with a meeting with head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
