Sabre TV: Virginia Football Schedule Series Preview – Miami

The Virginia football team welcomes Miami to Charlottesville for the first time since 2018 this season. The Hurricanes travel to UVA for an Oct. 29 showdown. The game begins a four-game homestand for the Hoos, who will have additional time to prepare after a Thursday night game at Georgia Tech.

The Cavaliers survived last season’s meeting when the Canes bounced a last-second field goal attempt off the upright. Prior to that outcome, however, Miami had won five of the last six meetings. Both programs have seen a lot of coaching change since that run began in 2015, though. The Canes have cycled through Larry Scott, Mark Richt, and Manny Diaz in that time before moving on to Mario Cristobal this offseason. The Hoos were coached by Mike London and Bronco Mendenhall in that same stretch before hiring Tony Elliott at the end of 2021.
