6-0, 172-pound Hyde Leadership (New Haven, CT) running back/cornerback James Nixon , who saw his stock rise after running a blistering 4.34 in the 40-yard dash during the Elite combine in New Jersey, added another offer to his list. UNC is the latest school to offer Nixon, who says Penn State “is about to put one on the table.”

In addition to UNC, Nixon holds offers from Florida, Oklahoma, Rutgers and Virginia. Connecticut is showing interest as well. Nixon has yet to visit any of the schools that have offered. Will he do so in the near future?

“I think my visits will start either a little bit before the season or during the season,” said Nixon, who wants to decide before the Winter. “I’m going to try take all five official visits, but if I can’t I might just take three. Right now, I want to go see Virginia, UNC and probably Penn State.”
