Camden (N.J.) wide receiver Tyree Watkins didn’t anticipate making a commitment at Virginia’s Top Prospect Day today, but, as the day went on, he says he “just realized it was a place I could feel comfortable at for the next four years.”

The Virginia staff is no doubt excited about the decision from Watkins, who chose the Cavaliers over offers from Iowa, Miami, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford and Tennessee.

“I have just committed to the University of Virginia,” Watkins told TheSabre.com earlier this evening. “I’m just overwhelmed right now. I still think I’m dreaming. I think I’ll realize what I did on Signing Day (laughs).”
