2003 Fall Football News: Players Return Bigger, Stronger

Before Thursday morning’s daily teleconference with Virginia head coach Al Groh, it was announced that the Virginia
Cavaliers have broken the record for full season ticket packages in a season. To this point there have been 35,004
season ticket packages sold, which broke the record of 34,378 set in 2001. Groh was pleased to hear the news, and hopes
that it continue to “Groh” in the years to come.

“It’s very nice,” he said. “I was hoping for 40,000, but maybe we can get to that next year. What’s
important is the energy and intensity that they will bring, so I’m sure they’ll come ready.”
