The football season is almost upon us. Hallelujah! The season opener against Duke is just a day away and fans have
something to be excited about. UVa football is back on the map. The Cavaliers have several players on many of the
preseason award lists.

The front-runners for the Hoos are senior quarterback Matt Schaub and sophomore linebacker Darryl Blackstock, two
players who came out of nowhere to reign in several post-season honors last season. Also, running back Wali Lundy was
just placed on a preseason award list as well.

If that wasn’t enough, the Hoos are returning just about all of their starters from a young team that, according to
the preseason voting, had no business finishing 2^nd in the ACC. Fans, players and coaches are definitely
excited about what this season could bring. UVa fans and players have prepared themselves for the start of this season
since the whipping the Hoos placed upon #13 West Virginia in the Continental Tire Bowl.

Fans like to speculate on what could be, and who could be, the next big time players at Virginia. Well, preseason is
most certainly the time of speculation, so let’s take a look at which Virginia football players could have break out
