In late July, I came up with 75 Things
That Will Happen This Season, a prediction of things to come for the then-upcoming college football season. Let’s
see how I did.

On a purely numerical level, I got about 47 out of 75 right. With some, I was spot on. With others, I was way, way
off. I guess that’s to be expected when you try to guess what will happen before practice has really even started. So,
let’s look back on a more innocent time, when hopes were irrationally high and this year’s season hadn’t yet
happened, and judge this columnist’s prognosticating ability.
