Catholic High School (Bethlehem, PA) recruit Kyle Newell has set two official visits, both of which will be taken in December. At 6-5, 225 pounds, Newell combines good size with tremendous athleticism (4.55 speed in the 40) and could play a number of positions on the next level, including tight end, linebacker, defensive end and wide receiver.

“I’ve set official visits on December 3rd to Maryland and December 10th with Tennessee,” Newell said.

Maryland and Tennessee make up 2 of Newell’s top 4. He doesn’t have any favorites among the 4 and also remains interested in other programs including N.C. State, Georgia Tech and Boston College. N.C. State, Georgia Tech and Boston College have not shown as much interest as the top 4.

“I have a top 4,” Newell said. “I’m also looking at Virginia and Florida. All of these schools are good schools with good academics and good football programs.”
