Robinson Comments on Recent Visit

Four-star Salem High School (N.J.) linebacker recruit Lamont Robinson , one of UVa’s most highly rated commitments for the 2005 recruiting class, was in Charlottesville on Saturday for UVa’s 16-0 victory over Maryland. It was his second unofficial visit to UVa for a game this season, and the experience appeared to be just as good as the first.

“It was cool,” Robinson said. “It went real good. I got there before kickoff and listened to the band a little bit. Me and Gresh (Darryl Gresham ) chilled together throughout the game. We talked about getting down there and a lot of stuff. Virginia’s defense had a shutout and you can’t beat that. After the game I went into the locker room. I’m getting acquainted really good with the players down there. I’m getting a great feeling with them.”

Robinson noted two players that impressed him the most in UVa’s win.

Ahmad Brooks played some football yesterday,” Robinson said. “Lundy stepped it up to. I was happy to see that because those 2 are 2 guys I make sure I talk to after games.”
