Accolades Roll in for Barker

Will Barker will be the first to tell you that accolades do not matter to him, especially after his team endured a tough 2004 season. But, nonetheless, the 6-7, 289-pound offensive tackle out of The Haverford School (Haverford, PA) has been accumulating several top honors for his senior year performance.

“There have been a bunch,” Barker said with a laugh. He made these teams as an offensive tackle. “I made 1st-team all-Interac, 1st-team all-Mainline, 1st-team all-county, 1st-team all-southeast Pennsylvania and 1st-team AA all-state.”

In addition, Barker was recently named to the Big 33 team, pitting the top players from the state of Pennsylvania against the top players from the state of Ohio. He may not be able to play in that game because he plans on arriving at UVa on June 30th, but he is excited about the honor.

“It’s a pretty big deal,” Barker said. “It’s the best 33 players from both states. It’s a big game to play in. I’m trying to play, but I’m not sure I will be able to.”
