Davis Returns from UVa

This month has been a crazy one for Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD) athlete Will Davis . Davis, who entered the month of January with a scholarship offer from Kent State, has now drawn offers from four more Division I-A schools – Boston College, Connecticut, Illinois and Virginia – and, after this weekend, will have made official visits to all 5 this month.

The most recent visit was to the University of Virginia. It was a short visit, but a good one.

“I enjoyed myself,” Davis said. He arrived in Charlottesville on Wednesday morning and returned last night. “My player host was [former teammate] Bud Davis. He took me around the campus. I told Coach Garrett that I wanted to watch the players work out on Thursday, so we got up at 5 a.m. That was good. I talked to Wali Lundy and had a chance to meet the rest of the team. I met the wide receivers and I met Biscuit.

“It was a short visit, but they did a great job in just a short time. They took me everywhere. I didn’t get a chance to interract with the players that much, but they all greeted me and seemed like great guys. The coaches did a great job of answering all of my questions even though it was a short visit.”
