2006 Class: Brandon Monroe

Yet another good looking prospect from state championship Landstown High School (Virginia Beach, VA) is 6-3, 275-pound Brandon Monroe , who played on the offensive line and defensive tackle for head coach Chris Beatty last year. A solid contributor as a freshman and sophomore, Monroe moved into the starting lineup this season.

“I don’t have any statistics with me, but I think I played pretty well,” Monroe said of his junior season performance. “I guess my biggest strengths are my quickness, my agility and the fact that I use my hands well. Coach Beatty has done a good job of teaching me how to use my hands.”

Already with good size, Monroe has the potential and the frame to get much bigger on the next level.

“He really does,” Beatty said. “He’s got a body that can easily be 320 pounds and play nose guard. And he can run. He’s got some good speed for a guy that size.”
