6-4, 250-pound Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) star Brian Whitmore earned honorable mention all-state, first-team all-region and first-team all-district at defensive end last season as a junior. He also earned first-team all-region and all-district at offensive tackle.

Video clips have been added to Brian’s player profile. Videos 1 through 3 show Whitmore playing left defensive end. He runs very, very well for his size and shows good closing speed. A playmaker last season, Whitmore finished the season with 75 tackles, 10 sacks, 9 tackles-for-loss and returned an interception for a touchdown.

Video 4 shows Whitmore manning the left tackle position on offense. He graded out as Oscar Smith’s top offensive lineman last season.

Thus far in the recruiting process, Whitmore has received five scholarship offers – Maryland, North Carolina, Penn State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Miami and Virginia are among the other schools currently reviewing film.
