Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA) wide receiver Damon McDaniel is establishing his place among the state’s elite prospects in the class of 2006. McDaniel, who just picked up an offer from Kansas State, now boasts an estimated 13 Division 1-A scholarships.

When asked which offers currently stand out as the biggest, the 6-0, 195-pound prospect replied “Florida, LSU, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Florida State.” Still, he remains very open among in terms of favorite schools.

“Basically I’m wide open,” McDaniel said. “Any school that’s interested in me I’m interested in.”

Previously, McDaniel mentioned that his family prefers for him to stay closer to home. This remains true, but he was firm in saying that location will not be a major factor in his final decision and feels his parents would support any decision he makes.
