Davie County (Mocksville, NC) recruit Raeshon McNeil picked up his third scholarship offer last Wednesday, when Wake Forest stepped up to join Duke and UVa. The 6-0, 175-pound corner has taken unofficial visits this year to all three of those programs and to two more he is very interested in.

The most recent visit was this past weekend to Virginia Tech. McNeil attended the Rivals.com photo shoot and then, along with many other recruits, toured the football facilities immediately.

“I went to Virginia Tech Saturday,” McNeil said. “I thought Virginia Tech was real nice. They had really nice facilities there. The coaches are a bunch of great guys. They had a real nice stadium. We didn’t get to see too much of the campus at all because it was kind of a rushed day, but what I saw was enough to get me interested.”

But is Virginia Tech interested enough to offer? McNeil should know for sure next month, when the Hokies will visit Davie County High School to follow up.
