6-4, 330-pound Phillip Taylor , who is one of the most highly recruited prospects in the state of Maryland for 2006, saw his offer list extend by one last week. Duke became the latest program to put an offer in writing, joining Cincinnati, Connecticut, Hampton, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, Syracuse and Virginia.

“I don’t have any favorites,” Taylor said. “As of right now I’m wide open.”

This off-season, Taylor is working hard to improve his strength, quickness and build. He hopes to get his weight down to 315 pounds by the start of next season and is looking forward to another excellent year. He believes next season could be special not only for him, but for his team as well.
