FUMA’s Caleb Has 7 Offers

Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Purdue, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech each have offered Fork Union Military Academy’s Brandon Caleb , who was one of the star’s of last weekend’s Nike camp in Blacksburg, Virginia. The 6-2, 190-pound prospect out of Richmond, Virginia, worked out at wide receiver last weekend and was among the top route runners and displayed excellent hands.

“When it came to the receiver drills as far as all the routes we ran I thought I did a good job running the routes and catching the ball,” Caleb said. “The one-on-one drills were pretty fun. I remember I dropped one high pass that hit my hands on a curl I should have caught. That was the only pass I can remember that I dropped at the camp.”

Caleb, who prefers to play receiver on the next level, plays wide receiver and outside linebacker for Head Coach Mickey Sullivan. For the next level, he says “most schools are telling me that they want me at wide receiver. Nebraska wants me at safety or defensive back.”

Among the schools that have offered, Virginia was the most recent. Caleb says Virginia wide receivers coach John Garrett verbally offered earlier this week. After showing some interest in Virginia Tech but not expressing much interest in UVa in an earlier update, Caleb was asked if he has interest in UVa following the offer.
