Gwynn Park High School (Brandywine, MD) defensive tackle/offensive tackle Phillip Taylor has seen his offer total triple over the past month and now claims 21 scholarship offers, including recent ones from “Oklahoma, Florida, Miami, Rutgers and Tennessee,” Taylor said. Following a successful past two months, where will Taylor go from here in his decision-making process?

“I’ll probably narrow my list at the end of the season,” Taylor said. “I do plan to take all five [official] visits.”

Of the offers from big-time programs such as Florida, Miami and Oklahoma, the 6-4, 330-pound Taylor said “I know they’re great schools, but I still have to do research on them,” Taylor said. “Distance doesn’t matter.”

One offer in particular came as a bit of a surprise to Taylor.
