Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA) defensive end/tight end Sean Gottschalk added two very significant scholarship offers towards the end of the May evaluation period. The newly added offers helped bring his total to 15 and have had an effect on his decision making.

“Ohio State and Miami are the most recent ones that kind of jumped out,” Gottschalk said of his scholarship offers. He received around 7 new offers last month. “I’m not trying to downplay the other ones, though.

“The Miami one has definitely changed things for me. I’m definitely going to go down there and look at it. We all know Miami for Miami. I haven’t been down there, but I hear Coral Gables is a really nice place. And it was nice to learn that it is a private school that has fairly decent academics.”

Gottschalk is hoping to visit Miami this summer, as he is planning on making a decision before the start of his senior season. “I think we’re going to do that, just so coach doesn’t get bombarded,” Gottschalk said of making an early decision.
