Virginia has landed commitment #9 as Nate Collins , a 6-2, 272-pound defensive end/outside linebacker prospect out of King and Low Heywood Thomas School (Stamford, CT), is now a member of UVa’s 2006 recruiting class. Mark D’Onofrio is his primary recruiter.

“Yes, yes,” confirmed Roz Collins, Nate’s mother, when asked if Nate had committed to Virginia. The Collins’ live in Port Chester, New York. “We are so excited.”

Collins, who had received offers from many Division 1-AA programs and was receiving letters from Iowa and Wisconsin, camped at three schools in recent weeks. Virginia was one of those camps.
