Virginia is one of the schools to come in with an official offer for 6-2, 185-pound Cedric Jeffries , a wide receiver/defensive back out of Egg Harbor Township High School in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Led by primary recruiter Mike Groh, the Cavaliers jumped into the mix with Jeffries following his impressive performance at the Nike Camp at Penn State.

“I had one offer heading into the combines,” Jeffries noted. “Vanderbilt offered me during my spring break. The other schools offered after.”

Illinois, Maryland, Purdue, Rutgers, Virginia and Wisconsin join Vanderbilt as the schools to offer Jeffries, who ran a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash and posted a 30-inch vertical at the PSU Nike camp. Speed may have been the only thing Jeffries needed to show, as he has been a very good player throughout his high school career.
