5-11, 190-pound running back/defensive back Lucas Caparelli quietly goes about his business, turning in excellent play on a weekly basis for Robinson (Fairfax, VA) head coach Mark Bendorf. In three wins this season (Robinson is 3-0), Caparelli has put his versatility and ability on display – 37 carries, 344 yards, seven touchdowns; five receptions, 221 yards, three touchdowns; one punt return for a score.

Included in the statistics above was a top performance at private school power Good Counsel. Good Counsel, ranked at the time in the Washington Post Top 5 before dropping two straight, fell to Robinson by a score of 21-6. Caparelli had 18 carries for 119 yards and a touchdown. He added one catch for 40 yards.

“We played a very good private school team from the state of Maryland,” Caparelli said, referring to Good Counsel. “We were able to go in there, execute and get a big win. But, we’ve only had one district game so far, so we really haven’t done anything yet.”
