Nathan Stupar made the journey from State College, Pennsylvania, to Charlottesville over the weekend, first to see his friend Kyle Long – younger brother of UVa defensive end Chris Long – play baseball on Friday and then for UVa’s spring practice festivities on Saturday. The weather wiped out Long’s game, but Stupar was still able to enjoy UVa’s practice.

“It was really good,” Stupar said of UVa’s practice. “Even though it was raining, it was great watching the defense and seeing what kind of defense they’ll play this year…going back to the Steelers-style defense and blitzing from the middle linebackers, which is what I would play for them. And getting a chance to see my brother [UVa sophomore tight end Jon Stupar] play was really fun.”

After hanging out with Long on Friday night, Stupar and his father met with UVa head coach Al Groh on Saturday morning.
