Before committing to UVa, 6-6, 282-pound Pottsville (PA) standout Brad Hallick had made two trips to Charlottesville and had visited Vanderbilt once. It was a close decision, but he didn’t have to make any more visits before verbally committing to the ‘Hoos.

“I went back and forth [between Virginia and Vanderbilt], but in the end I decided UVa was the best place for me,” Hallick said. “I had a gut feeling about it and I really loved the place. It’s an awesome academic school. It’s a top notch football program. It’s a great recruiting class with some of the top players in the nation. I love the coaching staff, especially coach Borbely. Hallick told coach Al Groh of his decision yesterday.
