Having received written scholarship offers from 23 Division 1A programs, East Meadow (N.Y.) star John Elliott is one of the most highly recruited offensive linemen in the East. Most of these programs are no longer in contention, however, as he was recently able to narrow his choices down to nine.

“I’ve narrowed it down to nine schools,” Elliott said. “They are Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Boston College, North Carolina, Florida, Florida State and Michigan. They have all offered.”

The 6-4 ½, 290-pound Elliott narrowed his list late last week.
