Devlin to Begin Next Round of Visits

Andrew Devlin , one of the top tight end recruits in the East, has narrowed his list to “about 10 or 12 schools.” The Mount Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA) star hopes to make a commitment before the beginning of his senior season and plans to make a number of unofficial visits this fall – starting this weekend at the University of Virginia.

“I’ve cut it to about 10 or 12 schools,” Devlin said. “There is Stanford out West, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Purdue, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The schools that haven’t offered that I’m looking at strong are Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame. Those are most of the schools. I’m even among these programs.”

In May, Devlin, who has family in California, made an unofficial visit to Stanford. He has also taken unofficial visits this year to Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia and West Virginia. He made an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech his sophomore year as well.

Devlin will head to Virginia (and possibly Virginia Tech as well) this weekend and plans on taking more visits this summer in hopes of making a verbal commitment prior to his senior season.
