Virginia is one of 31 schools that have offered a scholarship to 6-3, 285-pound Good Counsel (Wheaton, MD) defensive tackle Nick Jenkins , and the ‘Hoos are in serious contention at this point. Jenkins has already unofficially visited several schools and plans to make another round of visits starting with a trip next weekend to Charlottesville.

“I’ve been to Virginia, Penn State, Maryland and North Carolina,” Jenkins said. “Next weekend I’ll be visiting Virginia and then I’ll start going on some other ones. I’m going to go to Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, N.C. State, and I might get up to Penn State. If I don’t get up to Penn State before the summer’s out, then I might go up in the fall for a game.”

Jenkins will head down to UVa with his mother. He visited Virginia earlier this year in the spring with his father and coach and reflected on his experience.
