Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA) head coach Bill Redell boasts nine rising seniors who have received scholarship offers, certainly an amazing number for any high school program. Virginia is one of many schools that has offered more than one of his prospects, but the Cavaliers are in serious contention right now for only one – wide receiver Sean Wiser .

“He’s a safety and/or wide receiver,” Redell said of Wiser. “He’s probably got 15 major scholarship offers. He’s about 6-2, 185 pounds. He probably runs in the high 4.5s, low 4.6s in the 40. Most schools are recruiting him as a receiver. He has great hands and runs very precise patterns. And he has an exceptional ability to make the first few guys miss.”

As a junior last season, Wiser caught 42 passes for over 900 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had over 50 tackles and made four interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. An excellent student, he scored a 29 on the ACT and carries a 3.9 core GPA.
