According to Hylton head coach Lou Sorrentino, offensive line prospect Will Alvarez has been in the process of narrowing down his list of schools in recent weeks. Will’s latest experience to help with this process was a trip to Virginia Tech last Saturday for its Senior Camp.

“Prior to going down to Tech, we were probably in the process of narrowing down maybe a top five a six,” Sorrentino said. “The schools that were kind of in that running were Miami – that is going to the one that’s tough for him to visit, at least this summer, but he liked the coaches that were recruiting him – and, of the schools he had been to, there was Penn State and North Carolina because he liked what he saw from those visits, Maryland from early on and Virginia Tech was the one he hadn’t seen that was a local one.

“As far as his criteria goes, I think he had ruled out most of the SEC. He felt like if he went somewhere in the ACC that his family would be able to see him play. Miami was the distant one, but he liked them and they were in the ACC so that separated them maybe from some of the SEC schools.
