Salesianum (Wilmington, DE) tight end recruit Andrew Szczerba is down to just two schools – Penn State and Virginia – and is very close to making a decision. In fact, the talented 6-6 1/2, 255-pound star is just one unofficial visit away from being ready to make a verbal commitment.

“I guess I’m really looking heavily at the University of Virginia and Penn State,” Szczerba said. “My twin sister, my Mom and my Dad recently went to Virginia to check it out and see where she stands because we both want to go to school together. They just did that [on Wednesday]. I think we’re going to do the same next week with Penn State. I just have to get in touch with my primary recruiter to set it up. I may go on that visit because I haven’t seen Penn State as much as I have seen UVa.

“I’m definitely planning on making my decision in the next week or two.”
