6-4, 210-pound Romale Tucker had a “verbal” offer from the University of Virginia prior to his unofficial visit this past Sunday. Tucker, who made the visit alongside Ballou (Washington, D.C.) teammates Marvin Austin and Dwan Thornton, spoke with head coach Al Groh and defensive coordinator Mike London on the trip and discussed what the status of an official offer is with the ‘Hoos.

“I talked to head coach Al Groh,” Tucker said. “I had the chance to spend a lot of time with him. After practice was over, he called me to the side and told me he wanted me to know that they really want me there. I told him I appreciated that.”

He also recalled meeting with coach London.
